Wildflowers

I call this shoot a creative love child.  I had this idea of models with huge flower headdresses bouncing around in my head for a few months but had zero idea how to execute it. I reached out to a local styled shoot group and Annie Chen of Floral Sunshine was excited to take on the challenge. She created some absolutely stunning pieces that were so dang amazing to photograph. It was so fun to work with one of the best in the industry. Next I needed an amazing hair and make up artist and Renee Jacobson jumped on board! She was the hair and make up artist for my parents 30th wedding anniversary session so I knew she was going to be amazing! And she was! Her make up with the flowers paired flawlessly.

I had two models that reached out to me and wanted to work on this shoot. I had been dying to shoot Heidi Yeagar for quite some time since she is kind of a staple in the Portland modeling industry. Of course she KILLED it as I knew she would. My other model Bethany Palacios is new to modeling but still brought all the fierce. I didn’t get as much time with her as my first model but I couldn’t be happier with the shots that we did get!

I can’t even tell you how much fun I had shooting this. It reminded me how important it is to create for yourself. I already can’t wait to do more shoots like this! I hope you guys love them as much as I do!
