Waiting on baby Kellen

I get so giddy when I get to continue telling a family’s story. I photographed this couple’s beautiful daughter on her first birthday almost a year ago. When they contacted me to do materntiy and newborn sessions for their new baby boy, I was so excited! Watching families grow and change is one of the things I love most about my job. Taking maternity/newborn images and then photographing that child years later is so special to me.

I actually have a dream to photograph a full life cycle. Meaning I hope that I am lucky enough to photograph someone as a newborn, some milestones, senior photos, their wedding, and then with their own children. I don’t know if it will ever happen, but I love when things come full circle so I hope it does!

Okay that was a little bit of a dream tangent. haha

Cathedral Park in Portland is and always will be one of my favorite places to shoot. You can’t beat the dramatic feel of that Saint Johns Bridge. I normally shoot maternity sessions around 30 weeks but this beautiful momma was only 2 short weeks away from her due date! She rocked the whole session in heels like a boss! (Even with me making her hike to the top platform under the bridge!) Can’t wait to meet this sweet boy.
